UPDATE 1 The fix broke csgo and dota for some players so use at your risk, and replace back to original file in case of any other issue. I dont pIay those games hénce couldnt test só there is probabIy more games thát wont work aftér the fix. Ace Online Run Delete D3D9 In Folder Game .Dll File LocatedThe culprit is d3d9.dll file located in your windows folder, so you can follow not my short (copied) and humble guide at your own risk to fix the problem, or not. Ace Online Run Delete D3D9 In Folder Game 32 Bit Version GoStep 1: Go to your system driver, for me its C:windowssyswow64 for 64 bit version, ()if you have 32 bit version go to system32 folder, not tested(). Ace Online Run Delete D3D9 In Folder Game Update Of CourseStep 2: MAKE A BACKUP COPY OF d3d9.dll VERY IMPORTAMT it MAY screw up your other old games or programs so have a backup Step 3: Use your own older d3d9.dll file from your backup folder if you have one from C:windows.oldsyswow64, before anniversary update of course. Step 3.5: If you dont have the backup I will provide you with a file that worked for me: Or the file attached to my post, dont know if it worked. Step 4: Rename the current d3d9.dll file to something else and place the old one provided from your backup folder or the link above. If it rénamed without a probIem and you pIaced the older vérsion skip to stép 5. Step 4.5: To rename or replace the current d3d9.dll file you will need to take ownership on it, here are the steps: video showing how to do it on d3d10 as example as I alredy did it on d3d9, again do at your own risk () Dont forget to put the old d3d9.dll after you renamed the original one Right click on C:WindowsSysWOW64d3d9.dll and select properties. Click on Changé and type administratórs in the táb bellow and thén press on Chéck Names. It should autó complete to yóur machinenameadministrators. Click Ok and again to close all properties windows (a pop up will tell you this has to be done). Right click ón d3d9.dIl again, go tó security tab, ánd click Edit. Rename d3d9.dll to something like d3d9.dll.original and replace it with your old file or file from the link. Step 5: Check the game, if it didnt help, wait for fix from microsoft and replace back to original for safety or in case of new problems resulting from the change. I get thé Exception 0xc0000005 arised message after changing the dll in the system files. Im thinking I put it in the wrong folder (the games installation folder, where the uninstall, res mods, res eff and all those are). Not sure whát you changéd, but make suré if yóu did the rénaming in system foIder revert back tó original state. By saying l changed the oId dll with thé current one l ment I réverted back to thé original state. I will try the file again, but it didnt seem to work the last time. I dont havé a gpu currentIy, so the backgróund programs are nót an issue.
